Cancellations & Rescheduling

To provide the best possible service and respect all clients’ time, the following policy applies to all appointments, including first-time clients:

• Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the scheduled appointment will incur a fee of 50% of the service total.
• No-shows or cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment will be charged the full service amount.
• To avoid fees, please contact Ri at least 72 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

By booking a chemical service (colour, blonding, or corrective colour) with The Butterfly Studio / Rickielee “Ri”, you acknowledge and consent to the following:

Assumption of Risk:

• Chemical services carry inherent risks. While every effort is made to protect hair integrity and scalp health, The Butterfly Studio cannot be held responsible for damage that may occur due to chemical services.

Hair History & Accuracy:

• Hair may have prior chemical treatments, product build-up, or other factors that can make results unpredictable. It is your responsibility to provide a complete and accurate hair history. Negative reactions may occur if information is withheld or inaccurate.

Hair Integrity & Professional Judgment:

• Ri will always prioritize the health, strength, and long-term growth of your hair. If requested services push your hair past its safe limits, Ri reserves the right to refuse the service. Refusal for hair safety will incur a $130 appointment holding fee.

Service Changes & Payment:

• If a chemical service is completed as requested and you change your mind afterward, full payment is still required.
• For example, if you go from brunette → blonde and then want to revert immediately, a separate appointment will be required.

Fix-Ups:

• Minor adjustments must be booked within 5 days of your service.
• Services outside this window, or changes due to swimming, sun exposure, or other factors not caused by The Butterfly Studio, will require a separate appointment.

Maintenance & Hair Health:

• Maintaining healthy hair and promoting growth is a shared responsibility. Following all aftercare instructions, including recommended products and routines, is essential for long-term hair health.
• Ignoring aftercare instructions may result in reduced longevity of your colour, increased breakage, or compromised hair health.

Non-Refundable Policy:
All chemical services are non-refundable. If any concerns arise, please contact Ri promptly for guidance.

By booking your appointment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.

All hair extensions clients are required to have a consultation prior to booking. The full cost of extensions is required to order the hair, and this cost is determined based on the consultation.  All orders are non-refundable. I do not install pre-bought hair. A $50 deposit is required to book a consultation, which will be applied toward your application appointment.

• You understand that wearing hair extensions carries inherent risks. While every effort is made to ensure the safety and integrity of your natural hair, The Butterfly Studio and Rickielee “Ri” cannot be held responsible for any damage that may occur while wearing extensions.

Aftercare Compliance:

• You agree to follow all aftercare instructions provided. Failure to maintain your extensions as directed may result in damage to your natural hair or reduced longevity of the extensions.

Hair Shedding & Natural Hair Loss:

• Some hair shedding and natural hair fall is normal and expected. Extensions do not cause normal hair shedding.

Abnormal Hair Loss or Damage:

• Large amounts of hair loss, breakage, tension, or significant slippage are not normal. If you experience any of these issues, you agree to contact Ri immediately for guidance.

Maintenance Responsibility:

• You acknowledge that proper maintenance is essential to the health of both your natural hair and your extensions. This includes following professional advice on brushing, washing, and styling.

By booking a hair growth or restoration session with The Butterfly Studio / Rickielee “Ri”, you acknowledge and consent to the following:

Assumption of Results:

• Hair growth and restoration treatments aim to support scalp health, strengthen existing hair, and promote growth. Results vary depending on individual biology, genetics, hair history, lifestyle, and adherence to recommended care. No guarantees can be made regarding hair regrowth or restoration outcomes.

Client Responsibility:

• You agree to provide an accurate history of your hair, scalp, medical conditions, medications, and any prior treatments.
• You agree to follow all aftercare instructions and product recommendations to maximize results. Failure to do so may compromise effectiveness or hair/scalp health.

Professional Guidance & Safety:

• Ri will assess your scalp and hair condition and recommend treatments that are safe, science-backed, and appropriate for your individual needs.
• If a treatment is deemed unsafe for your hair or scalp, Ri reserves the right to modify or refuse the service to protect your health.

Treatment Limitations:

• Hair growth and restoration is a gradual process that requires consistency and patience.
• External factors, such as stress, hormonal changes, medical conditions, or medications, may affect results.

Allergic Reactions & Side Effects:

• Some treatments, topical solutions, or serums may cause temporary irritation or sensitivity.
• It is your responsibility to inform Ri of any allergies or sensitivities prior to treatment.

Follow-Up & Maintenance:

• Regular sessions, consistent home care, and lifestyle recommendations are key to achieving optimal results.
• Ri will provide a personalized plan with instructions, products, and follow-up guidance.

Non-Refundable Policy:

• Hair growth and restoration services are non-refundable, due to the personalized nature of the treatment plan.
• If concerns arise, please contact Ri promptly for guidance.

To maintain professional documentation, portfolio standards, and service transparency, photos and/or videos are required for all services at The Butterfly Studio.

The Butterfly Studio aims to capture hair-focused content only. Your face will not be intentionally shown unless you provide explicit consent the time of your appointment. 

All images and videos taken remain the property of The Butterfly Studio can may be edited for professional presentation. No Financial compensation  will be provided for the use of media content.

Acknowledgment
By booking I acknowledge that photography and/or videography is a required part of my service.

I love kiddos, I have two myself! However, a hair studio can be a busy and potentially unsafe environment for children. For safety reasons, I ask that children are only brought to the studio if they are receiving a service themselves. Thank you for helping me maintain a safe and relaxing space for all clients.
